BEANS


                                 This is an herbaceous annual plant. It is cultivated as a green culture.
The most widespread green bean cultures are-pea, bean, soybeans, and lens.
Leguminous play a very important role in a human allowance. They provide us with a lot of necessary nutrients. Beans are rich in starch, protein, dietary fiber and an excellent source of iron, potassium, selenium, molybdenum, thiamine, vitamin B6, and folic acid.

Beans are an excellent source of simple proteins-20-40 percent, that are rich in necessary amino-acids;
slowly digestible carbohydrates that provide human organism with glucose that is necessary for the function of brain;
fats; vitamin C, vitamins of B group, provitamin A.

      Beans are  3, 5 times richer in calories than potato and  6 times than cabbage.
Beans are eaten entirely as dhal and a flour, fresh and canned. Beans are especially important and essential in a vegetarian menu, since they are rich in proteins.
